I have a business administration degree with a concentration in public accounting. My public accounting business was my main business for most of my adult life. About 10 years ago, I discovered a lot of what I was taught in both college and continuing education was not the best information and advise for my clients. The strategy that I now teach just makes a good plan great, or better. Understanding and utilizing the tax code to our benefit is the most important part of our financial lives. I know that blowing up and challenging conventional wisdom, like our strategy does, can be very interesting and difficult to swallow at times. It wasn't easy for me either, because of what my profession taught me. It took several years of diligent research to get where I am today, after being exposed to this strategy for the first time. My passion has morphed over time, but it is now to educate and work with people, to help them understand the tax code, and how these strategies can benefit them.

I was able to raise my family in a small midwestern town as a small business owner for over 25 years. Over 5 years ago, I sold most of my businesses and moved to Naples, Florida. It was a great experience for me to learn even more about the experience of helping my clients get ready for one of their biggest planning needs… retirement. I now can add this to my resume of educating and helping to plan from my diverse background.
